Somehow everyone seems to try out new things during this kind of quarantine situation due to the Coronavirus, and if there's one positive thing about this virus, I'd say that's it. I love to try thousands of things basically all the time, so now other people get that same feeling about trying, failing, retrying and finally succeeding that I like so much. Anyway, I had the Idea of baking bread since a while and I though this is the perfect time for it. At first I didn't even want to use this completely basic, year old technique of baking bread with no more ingredients than flour, water and salt, I rather wanted to use yeast or baking soda or whatever. (Un)fortunately, it was completely impossible to buy yeast in any supermarket in our area (I guess people like to bake when they're quarantined), and so I was stuck with the very traditional way of baking bread. After watching a few videos on youtube (mostly the one's by Joshua Weissman, if I'm referring to any technique, I mostly copied it from him), I really got into the rustic Idea of only using three ingredients.
Actually, just baking bread wasn't enough for me... I also had to film it and make a short video about the whole process, which i then uploaded on my instagram so you can watch it right here! Also, I tried to write down exactly what I did, so if you want to give it a go yourself, here's the recipe for you to download! Basically it's very close to Joshua Weissman's video about sourdough bread on youtube, I just used different measurements. If you're unsure about any techniques, go check out his videos on youtube or feel free to contact me!
